Moxibustion is the practice of burning of Chinese mugwort (Folium Artemisiae Argyi) to heat acupoints or painful areas on the body.  Moxa is usually burned above the body, and is often used to increase immunity, tonify, warm, and ease pain.  It is also very successfully used in turning breech babies during the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Cupping is the technique of applying a cup to the skin and reducing the pressure by using a change in heat or suctioning out air.  The skin and fascia are pulled into the cup, relieving tightness, pain or stagnation in a localized area.
